Palm City Sod

Worst customer service!!!! I called and explained that the last pallet I received from them was bad and dried up and looked like hay and they completely dismissed what I was saying, interrupted me the entire call to intimidate me and blamed me for the sod looking that way. Saying lack of water but yet the rest of my lawn looks great except where the last batch was laid . It has rained like crazy and I have irrigation. She kept saying we don’t have you in the system and we didn’t deliver to you to avoid responsibility. No warranty and no refunds is her response. they asked for pictures and clearly see the difference but don’t want to put out but they will take your money and blame the customer. She was very sarcastic and condescending as if someone did something terribly wrong to her when I lose in this situation. Basically she said too bad too sad! Telling me how long you been in business, idc. I want what I paid for. Just because you have been in business long doesn’t mean anything, especially if you have disappointed customers and some bad reviews from what I see with the same complaint.

I contacted Palm City Sod on 6/19 to inquire on getting Bahia delivered to sod a roughly 400sqft area. I was told the fields were flooded and they would call back when turf was available. It took some following up, but ultimately I was able to get some delivered on 7/7. The Bahia delivered was good quality pasture grass, it held together well with no clumping. It did have some other grass types mixed in, which is understandable for pasture grass and I expect the Bahia to outcompete the other types in the long run. I laid the sod after tilling and removing weeds from the area and mixed some organic material in to help start the turf. The Bahia pegged in after about 5 days and has shown good growth, with 3x day watering, assisted by the rain. I am happy with the results. Overall, I am satisfied with the Bahia supplied by PC Sod. Expect to wait some time for it following heavy rains, which is to be expected. Also, the delivery can be spur of the moment, as they cut it out of the pasture same day. I read some negative reviews on here and was a little concerned, but it seems like those people had not done the prep work, or had little knowledge of turf as mine has taken and grown well with little management. Excellent experience getting 10 pallets of sod installed at my 26 year old residence. Competitively priced but more importantly - very professional. Their crew was well staffed to get 10 pallets installed in about two hours. Everything I asked them to do, they did excellent work on and even did a better job than I had expected. I will definitely recommend Palm City Sod to anyone I meet who needs sod installed.

I cannot say enough about Palm City Sod. Even though we were delayed getting sod put down for over 3 weeks due to weather, as soon as they could they cut and bring the sod, they did. The guys were amazing. They worked hard and installed 9 pallets. Our yard looks INCREDIBLE! I would highly recommend Palm City Sod if you are needing any sod work done. Fresh healthy sod! Excellent communication! Excellent installation! Reasonable pricing!

My experience was rotting falling apart sod (see photos), along with red ants and some grubs in their sod in addition to a very rude office staff from Palm City Sod. I got two orders, the first order was not good and especially one pallet was a pile of rotting disintegrating mush. I sent them photos and videos to prove that. A manager agreed the condition was poor and offered me one free pallet, I excepted and appreciated at least some concession. He also told me not to get any sod for at least two weeks due to the rains. I went by their time table not mine. In two weeks they said everything had dried out and they would ship again. They could not give me a time and I waited 8+ hours all day. They delivered worse sod than the first order. I sent them more videos and photos and complained which was totally ignored by them. I finally got the office staff on the phone about 5 days later and was told to go find another sod provider, I did not understand what Bahia is and I was a problem customer and they literally would not let me speak interrupting me and were yelling at me. They also changed the prices on installation after what I was told by one person, so I just installed it myself. Rotting Bahia does fall apart, healthy Bahia does not and I have installed Bahia 3 times previously with no issues. I did wait on my second until THEY SAID it was dried out, but that was somehow blamed on me that I demanded not to wait. My pallets were also completed twisted slopped together with no organization or consistent cuts making it impossible even when I found a decent piece to remove it without tearing it. I found another sod company that was polite, professional for the same price and their sod had a strong root system, was stacked properly and did not have red ants and grubs and was not a mangled twisted rotting mess. Night and day the difference between the two companies. My personal experience was horrible on many levels especially the bad attitude.
